Hi all, Thought it might help some others out that may need to put up an OTA antenna up high and want to do it more safely. Here are some pictures of a system I came up with years ago for use with my ham radio antenna. It would also work great for a UHF OTA antenna like the SR-15.

Found this large hinge at Home Depot. It allows the mast to be easily laid down for installing and working on the antenna.

U clamps used to mount the hinge to the mast.

Reaching for the sky. Can easily get 23 feet above the ground or more if needed. The mast is made from 1 5/8 fence post. It comes in 21 foot sections so if you cement a 6 foot section in the ground 4 feet deep that leaves 2 feet above the ground.

Wall mount version.

SR-15 UHF beam. Note - I did not need to go up very high to get a strong signal so I mounted it under the dish. The dish would not be mounted like this if you need to go up higher.

Hope this helps give ideas.

Later, DC
