Has anyone heard anything about Digital Audio Records for SIRUS (or XM )? At least a 5 or 10 minute pause would be handy at times.

That makes me thing a satellite DVR radio reciever would be a very nice thing.

I mean, it is a pay service after all.

Do you want to see the RIAA go apesh*t? Have XM or Sirius announce they can be recorded on TiVo.

They can on Dish's DVR's now.

besides, it's a paid service. If i paid $12.95/month for radio rights, and say, $5.95 for DAR (Digital Audio recorder) functionality, you're damn right I would say i contractually purchased rights to record whatever song i damn well please.

Sirius or XM would give a portion of the monthly fee to the label as a license fee.

Also, Sirius has many other entertainment channels I wouldn't mind recording and listening to later. i just don't have the time to sit for 2 hours to listen to Prarie Home Companion on saturdays, but sundays I do.. see?

Maybe a Boom box with timer capability.. since the rcvrs are so small.

SIRIUS Request Thread
