Satellite 118 ????

Hi,
I have noticed lately that on the signal strength screen there now is a satellite 118. When did this appear and is dish using it? Is there any programs on this?

There is no programming on this satellite yet. There will be some internationals and about five HD local markets put onto this satellite. A Dish500+ and Dish100 dish will be needed in order to receive 118. It is actually 118.7 but they list it as 118 to distinguish it from 119.

They moved the old 110 bird into this location, since it was in use for quite a while, they didn't have to run tests. Just moved it and started uplinking channels.

E6 is still at 110...they moved AMC16 there.

Thank you..I knew that was the case..In fact I believe the AMC-16 is an FSS bird is that correct?
