Satellite Finder

Can anyone help me with using the satellite finder for iPhone? We are in an RV - using a Winegard SK1000 and a DN VIP211k and are in OH traveling to FL. Where do I stand to see the satellites so I am in line with the dish on the roof of a 13' high RV? I realize I want the southern sky view, but I'm not sure where to stand to get a good idea as to where to park the RV.

i believe your SK1000 uses the 1000.2 configuration(110 119 and 129 satellites) which is going to be more southwest in ohio( about 230 degrees on the compass and 30 degrees elevation and 125 degrees skew). all 3 of those numbers will increase as you get closer to florida
i havent used the sat finder apps myself because the compass on my droid is not very reliable.
