Sometimes when doing some testing - like site survey, it's nice to have a list of satellites with the parameters for the location - elevation, skey and azimuth.

There was a site - satstar.net that was excellent for that purpose - you would enter your location and dish size and whether it was C or Ku band, and it would give a comprehensive list with those parameters but also what beams you can receive and what the estimated EIRP would be - just amazing. They also had an impressive collection of footprint maps

unfortunately that service is no longer free, and the maps are now hard to use with very limited visualization

does any one here know of another site or tool that would do similar thing - particularly the list thing?

Thanks

Brct203,

Although not as comprehensive as the site you mentioned, I use TVRO Sat as a satellite reference.
Their listings are the most up to date one I know of.

Doesn't do everything that satstar.net did, but close. You can zoom in on a footprint and click on your location and it will tell you the EIRP and the recommended dish size. Only have to click on your location for the first footprint you try, change satellites and it keeps the location you chose.
