Satellite radio in Hawaii

Do either XM or Sirius make it out to the 50th state? I'm going there and am wondering should I take either along?

sirius makes it to hawaii dunno about xm

i have sirius and freinds have it aswell and some freinds in cali can use it on there boat in the sea and still get it so try sirius

Neither Sirius or XM currently are available in Hawaii. The satellites that they use weren't built to provide service here under normal operating conditions(ie. equipment). There are rumors that both services will offer ground based service within the next year. Sirius will also be available in Hawaii via Dish Network this summer.
