Hi Guys!

I have been trying to find the "Newborn Channel" on SBS. I have used the settings listed on Lyngsat with my coship 5300B and I can't seem to find it no matter what I do. Any suggestions?

My setup:

Coship 5300B FTA receiver
Winegard 76cm receiver with motor drive

It is in Digicipher II, which a DVB receiver won't pick up.

Digicipher II is what 4DTV is (think new version of C-Band)

It has to say DVB for us to pick it up :)

Any ideas on the cheapest way to start watching KU band FTA Digicipher II?

get yourself a 4DTV receiver...its really the only way

Is 4DTV FTA also? What is Digicipher II? Is that FTA and if so whats the cost of the receivers?

4DTV is the upgraded part of C-Band

Intead of C-Band (which is analog), they went to 4DTV (which is digital). Alot of stations went to 4DTV because you can get more on a TP (analog you can only get one channel per TP...digital you can get more)

Digicipher II is the encryption they use.

The FTA part is in addition to what you can get with a subscription. The receivers are pretty expensive.

Would I buy a 4DTV for FTA only?? Yes if I had the money. A sidecar (which goes in tandem with your old analog C-Band) runs about 300 bucks. A 4DTV by itself is around 500.
