I'm sooo happy to hear this case is finally over!!! The only part I'm really waiting for is to hear the judge sentence Laci's husband from hell to life in jail. What does everyone think is going to happen?

My roommate is sick of it already, but since the judge is only giving two hours notice once the jury has a verdict, I've been spending a lot of time watching Court TV (they have the best coverage of the trial, in my opinion.) A talk radio station in my city, 770AM, also have been discussing the case quite frequently.

I just can't take another OJ walking the streets...

Kimberly

Thanks for the update kiyoung80, and welcome gal to SatelliteGuys!

Hmm, "Kimberly", with "roommate", posting in a satellite technology forum... must.. resist... cheezy come-on line...

I would not be surprised if he got a not guilty, as they have presented ZERO evidence that he killed them.

I do believe however he is GUILTY. But you know how that damn poponderance of the evidence goes. :(

The current update is that a juror may have tainted the deliberations by doing self research and reporting it to the other jurors and there may be a mis-trial.

I agree.

They removed one juror and replaced her with another. The judge said they had to start all over with the deliberations.

Another juror ousted. That makes 3 total, so this could be headed to a mis-trial and if not, surely a LONG appeal.

A coworker sent this to me eariler today:

A noted criminal defense lawyer was making his closing argument for his
client accused of murder, although the body of the victim had never been
found. The lawyer dramatically turned to the courtroom's clock and,
pointing to it, announced, "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I have some
astounding news. I have found the supposed victim of this murder to be
alive! In just ten seconds, she will walk through the door of this
courtroom."

A heavy quiet suddenly fell over the courtroom as everyone waited for the
dramatic entry. But nothing happened.

The smirking lawyer continued, "The mere fact that you were watching the
door, expecting the victim to walk into this courtroom, is clear proof that
you have far more than even a reasonable doubt as to whether a murder was
actually committed." Tickled with the impact of his cleverness, the cocky
lawyer confidently sat down to await acquittal.

The jury was instructed, filed out, and filed back in just ten minutes with
a guilty verdict.

When the judge brought the proceedings to an end, the dismayed lawyer
chased after the jury foreman: "Guilty? How could you convict? You were all
watching the door!"

"Well," the foreman explained, "Most of us were watching the door. But one
of us was watching the defendant, and he wasn't watching the door."
