Scott's Wish...

My bad, I read that post after I got off of work this morning.

Notch that one up on lack of sleep. :D Sorry about that.

It would be nice to see some softcore porn in HD, I mean CineMAX in HD. :D

and some of that softcore stuff on cinemax is actually HD now, so there would be benefit there

Nice job there, Scott. It's not like DISH to have empty space like that on a snazzy HD web pages. I guess they're having new channels in there soon or someone made a boo-boo. I'm hoping it's the former. I can't wait.

Well my detective work took me to a dead end, HBO runs a special website for Dish Network dealers and on that Website they are now showing Cinemax HD as one of the services.

I found a contact for HBO who works with Dish Network and this is the reply I got...

So there you have it, start those emails flowing I am sure Eric will love getting them. :D

What i seem to notice about dish and adding HD. They seem to wait until after what we want to see is on. NFL last year TNT for basket ball etc..

Looking back at the graphic Scott originally posted, I notice that they still need to update the graphic right above:
programing_text.jpg

They have 30 HD channels not 29.

It would be nice to get all the premiums in HD including west coast. That was always a big perk of cable by me is that they have east & west coast playing. Kind of nice when you miss the first 30 minutes of something you can set it up to record later or watch the show and catch the first few minutes 3 hours later.

I don't understand why people keep asking for this. It just seems to me that this would be a complete waste of bandwidth. Most of us that have HD TVs, have HD DVRs. Once or twice a week, I scroll through the guide to see what I want to record. Not mention, when was the last time HBO, Showtime or one of the others only showed a program one time in a week.

I believe TMC HD is gone for now, but they said that if there was interest in the channel again that they would start it back up.

I agree that we dont need west coast HD premiums for now. Get the variety, then once that is covered, get the duplicated channels for west coast. Nothing against west coast viewers here, but it is a waste of valuable bandwidth. And to show that I dont harbor any ill will against the west coasters, I would be fine with getting all west coast feeds instead of east coast! :)

Personally, I think the West coast has the advantage. Record and watch later.
