Second remote not working

Have two remotes for our Hopper/sling. One of the remotes stopped working. It was still showing on the info screen, so I unpaired it. When I push the sat button, it does register. Any feedback on this? Put new batteries in. Lights up fine

I bought a new Hopper 3 and a new Wireless Joey/Access Point. The 54.0 remote that came with the Hopper 3 would light up but not function or pair up. The 54.0 remote that came with the Wireless Joey/Access Point was able to be paired up to the Hopper 3 just fine. I contacted the dealer that I bought the Hopper 3 from and they agreed to send me a replacement remote.
