I'm a little annoyed that Seek timers sometimes choose to record a repeat broadcast later in the day rather than the first available episode. I can't imagine I'm doing it wrong, but welcome any advice.

I have had the same problem with basketball games. The first airing on ESPN or ESPN2 is skipped. The second showing on ESPNU is scheduled for recording. I got caught once. Since then I check the scheduled recordings and restore the original airing. And I do not have all 16 tuners in use.

This happens a lot with nascar and FS1/FS2.
My thought is,
Seek timers search entire lowest channel before moving to next higher channel.
Therefore, because FS2 (149) is lower channel number in guide the timer finds the replay on FS2 before the live event on the higher channel number FS1 (150).
