coolsat 5000 platinum
Invacom QPH-031

my info:

latitude 28
longitude 80

im pointing my dish using a compass to 228 degrees, trying to get my true south satellite which 82.0°W Nimiq 2.

what im doing wrong??? i cant get any signal higher than 7%
any help will be appreciated..

What channels on Nimiq 2 are you trying to get?

Send me a PM and let me know and I will reopen the thread!

OK Thanks for the PM. (Stating he is using 82w for set up only)

Welcome to the satelliteGuys.US FTA forum!

If you are using Nimiq 2 as your true south make sure to use one of the outputs marked C from the QPH-031 LNBF. Remove any switches you may be using for now.

Make sure you have the L.O. set to 11250 in the antenna set up screen.

Its a good idea to remove the motor for now and find/store signals from your true south satellite before adding it back to the set up.

(When you get round to using the L side of the LNBF make sure to set the L.O. to 10750 in the antenna setup screen)
