It looked like the delay in launching Anik F3 until Fall 2006 was going to be a problem. Telesat and Shaw had a deal for Shaw to buy 10 more F2 transponders when F3 became operational.
Telesat and SES Americom have applied to the FCC to move AMC 16 to 118.7
As a result, Shaw will purchase 4 more F2 Ku transponders by the end of September.
1 will be used to return PPV levels back up, the other 3 will be for HD
HD Channels to be launched CBC and SRC - hurrah - just in time for HD hockey, CTV east and west (boo, simsubs for you Toronto and Vancouver subs) plus KOMO and 1 more - probably CITY.
