I have a Direct TV signal coming into the house supplied by a company called MDU. Now at each of my recvr's a Destacker is connected before it is attached to the SAT1 and SAT 2 input on the recvr. Now on my HDTV ready widescreen the picture do not look clear. Kind of fuzzie. When I switch to a HD chnl like Sunday Ticket the picture looks great.
On a non HDTV ready television the picture looks fine on non HD chnls. But for some reason it dont look good at all on the big screen. Can I add a signal amp after the destacker to make the non HD chnls look better on the big screen? If so what should I get? Thank you for your time and GOD BLESS.

If what you are saying that HD looks fine on the big screen, but SD doesn't, that is to be expected, SD will often look like crap over HD on a bigscreen hdtv, an amp won't change that.

Besides, DirecTV is a digital signal. So if your signal strength is low your picture will either be gone or will cut in and out. If you get a picture, then a signal amp will do no good at all. If it's fuzzy then the problem must be from the DirecTV box to the TV.

I would also verify the cable connections. If there are crappy connectors in place those are also a factor. SD does not look too good on the big screen though, it has been better in the last 6 months but an amp will not help.
