Showtime Not Sweating New Premium Channel Entry

Not concerned by the loss of the three major film studio's that provide 95% of its current content .... hmnn .. I'm a HD-DVD owner and this sounds oddly familiar.

;)

IMO - Showtime Too will become a 24/7 Big Brother feed if this keeps up.

I guess this forces their hand into more original programming? They could always import some UK, Aus, NZ, Canadian content.

yup - there is some great original drama out there .. particularly from the UK, that is a little "strong" for the mainstream American viewing public ...

anyone ever seen "shameless" on Sundance ?

Green Wing .. early doors .. the street .. the smoking room ... all fantastic comedy and drama series that have not yet made it over here as far as i know ... all of them beat the pants off "the office" in my opinion.

:)

I thought Green Wing was on BBC America at one point.

But I certainly agree; there is plenty of UK content that I think would do well on a premium channel over here.

I might even be willing to re-subscribe to Showtime if they'll carry enough of it.
