This is for the people who have rigged up a LNB for 129

What kind of signal do you get (like on TP17, where the Dish1000 screen is)

I tried it last ngiht with a 18" aimed at 129 and the best I could get was 77..this was on a DP301 receiver

anybody got better?

I asked the same question in another thread and didn't get any answers. Here in the Bay Area, I tried TP 20 and I was getting 78 with a 501 and a Dish500. Aimed it back to 148.

Is this a low powered satellite? At least it appears that way.

what receiver?

damn..those numbers I like :)

(I know that Minneapolis has a must carry that is there (KAWE PBS) so I was just seeing TP strenghts) :)

might have to try a little harder :)

This is my setup a superdish on 110/119/121 a dish500 at 129 am running these on 2 811's also have wildblue for internet as of this moment still TP17 is 86 and highest still 103 on TP10 and it is cloudy here today

I had a signal of 95-105 (don't remember the TP's) when I had my Dish300 pointed at 129.

This was on a 921 receiver in southwest Michigan.

Hey Iceberg,

I can't remember specifically TP17, but I got 0 for 20, maybe around 50 for TP4 and 5. For the others the max I'm getting is maybe around 67-70% I think I was able to get more at a certain point, but I can't find the location anymore. since I still get all the voom HDs anyway, I'm satisfied for now. I have a dish 500 and 811 receiver.

With the new 1000 dish we picked up 129 at 68 just last week from Portland, Or. I'm skeptical since the dish was on a rubber non-pen mat and not peaked with the 129 lnb. I'm willing to bet it would have been in the low 80's otherwise.

sounds like I shouldnt use my homemade mast (its a mast bolted to a couple 2x6 boards and clamped to the deck railing...I use it for test rigs :)

I might slap a LNB on my G10 dish or my StarChoice dish :)

Iceberg What about that setup you had with the extra lnb hose clamped on your dish500?

took that down. I have had a crappy signal on 110 for a while now (most TP's 75-80...a couple in the 60's. No matter how I tried to skew it, I couldnt get good signals on both 110 & 119.

So I took down the 20" DIsh500 and put a 18" DirecTv dish up for 110 only. I have a StarChoice dish that I was able to put a LNB for 119 on it (starchoice is at 107 & 111) and was able to get 122-125 on all TP"s on 119 (sans spotbeams) and 115+ on all TP's for 110

They're tied together with a SW21 :)

What is the difference in the skew/elevation when tuning in 119 and 129 compared to what your settings would be on 110/119? Will a twin work or do you have to use two seperate lnbf's on the Y plastic yoke to move the lnbf's a little to compensate for the 1 degree difference in spacing?

When we first heard about Voom mirroring over to 129 I pointed a Old Dish 300 (on a Tripod) with a DP dual, and had signal at about 98 on tp 17 with and 811. In Phoenix BTW.
