I live no further than 8 miles from the tower farm. I am getting Dish on Monday with the 811 receiver. I have used a friends receiver and was able to pull in the all the stations, except one (CBS), with good strength. I used the Silver Sensor. My set is in the basement and I live in a low area with some hills. The question is would a preamp or variable attenuator help me pull in the weak station? Sorry for the long post.
