I got the Orbiter for Xmas 2004 . It has worked fabulously up till a few weeks ago . One night i heard a pop like static noise and the transmission went on and off. Next day it worked fine...... few days later same thing. Worked fine during the day and that evening it did the same thing.
(According to the manual its covered under a Radio Shack warranty for 12 months)
The unit powers up and shows the bars for a signal but no sound . The antenna is outside unobstructed. Im at a loss .
Everytime I call customer service i get a run around . They say call Radio Shack. Then Radio Shack says Sirius is responsible for the equipment but to bring it in and they will ship it to be repaired and if it needs to be replaced that sirius has to replace it !!!!!! ACk why is this such a hassle .
In the meantime i am still paying for a subscription.
I love sirius but am getting rather frustrated with it.
Has anyone else here had equipment failure? If so what did you do? HELP !
