Sirius Predicts Big Jumps In Q2 Profits, Subs
TOP STORY (SkyReport) -- As part of its preliminary second quarter reporting today, Sirius said it expects to post a 25 percent increase in revenues during the quarter and will trim its losses to $24 million from the $79 million it reported in the second quarter of 2007. On the subscriber side, Sirius said it expects to report a 25 percent year-over-year increase in users to end Q2 with 8.924 subscribers, 4.247 million of which are from the OEM channel, representing a surge of 53 percent since the same period last year. The news comes after the FCC approved Sirius' pending merger with XM on Friday.
