I know the server was slow tonite, some sort of DB issue.

I've recycled the Apache (webserver) and MySQL (Database) processes, and
all seems better.

It was flooding poor Scott with mail about a DB issue.

I'm not sure what provoked it, and need Scott to read his mail :)

I was just going to post about this. last 15 minutes has been a b*tch.

Lots of 'Cannot find server' errors.

I thought it might be a D.O.S. attack.

It did this really early this morning too.

I got the "cannot find ip xx.xxx.xxx.xxx" error about 30 min ago. I was wondering what was happening earlier.

I'd have reported it then, but there was no way to get onto the site. I walked away and did some stuff and came back to find it working again.

Even just posting that it happened or PM me and/or Scott, would help so we
can be aware of it.

Strange.

Looked to be MySQL connection related, more when I hear from Scott.

Was probably while I had Apache down waiting for the process load to die off.

Something happened last night as the server was trying to check if all the software was up to date.

Not quite sure what it was...

We are keeping an eye on it.

This isn't a major glitch, but right when the servers went down I was posting in this thread:

http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=25167

The post finally showed up, but the DB didn't update. It still shows 'Cascade' as the last person posting when you search 'New Posts'.
Fixed.

Ran the DB optimize/repair, and also made sure your post was the
last one.

Thanks for the report.
