small BUD for FTA KU band

Hi Guys:

I am a brand new member today.

I have been reading this site and some vendor forums for several weeks. I was just about to purchase a complete 36" system from Sadoun when I learned of a nice used 6' 2 Ghz microwave dish.

How much work is it to convert the dish itself over to C and Ku band and then put a motor on it to move it around?

I assume twice the dish would give me better reception, but how much more expensive is the motor and how hard is it to convert?

The SG2100 motor that seems to be the most popular motor for 30" dish costs around $80 SHIPPED.

A cheap actuator for a BIG dish would cost around $100 plus shipping, have a look at the below link for some more ideas on prices!
