So we're having our first snowstorm here in WI... everything is coming in perfectly, even HD... except for the "old" HD channels in the 70's, which I can barely get a picture on. It's either a completely garbled and half-frozen image, or I get a no signal message. Which satellite would this mean I have a weak signal on? What other channels might this affect? Should I have them come out for a re-peak? Thanks for any advice!

I'm almost positive these were all on the 110 bird as I lost that signal & everything from the 70's (Mpeg-2) was lost. All those older HD's are mirrored in Mpeg-4 & are in better quality so you should be able to watch them without 110. The thing is are your other birds slightly misaligned as well?

This is my first year with DirecTV. I hope the snow doesn't have an effect. It is snowing pretty hard here right now, but no problems with the signals or anything. At least not yet.

Alot of it depends how wet the snow is. The drier the snow the less fade I have.

This is exactly what I was going to point out :up
