I'm reading posts on the AtoZ box and others, keep seeing 4:2:2 mentioned. I have a Geosatpro 1100c with AC3 decoder added and able to get allot of stuff. Should I be looking at yet even more?

Jim

There is no really great "regular" stuff in 4:2:2 ( also called "studio video" ) , but a significant percentage of sports feeds and special events are in 4:2:2 . You have to decide, based upon your own interests and viewing habits. If you're a "technology nut" like me, you'll NEED to be able to view everything possible. If you're more practical, you may not need a 4:2:2 solution.
:)

I lock on a few 4:2:2 but video messed up due to my sathawk not able to get that format.Galaxy 16C has a few called GDMX whatever that means and i have found a few others scattered around on other sats.I wouldnt say your missing alot but you will miss a few without a receiver that supports it.

The GDMX channels on G16 are pre feeds of the syndicated shows that are on during the day. So the judge/talk shows and the other syndicated stuff like Extra, TMZ, and the like are on there

I use my Digitrans to watch these, it gets 4:2:2 feeds. :D:up

No SD receivers support 4:2:2 . 4:2:2 support is limited to the QualiTV box, the AZbox family, and PCI DVB computer solutions so far.

thanks, so azbox only make HD receivers?

is there alot of 4:2:2 out there on ku-band? is it worth the money?

if you are a sports fan yes 4:2:2 is almost a necessity. More and more sports feeds are going 4:2:2

so you would say the 4:2:2 receiver (azbox) is worth the money?

yeap, but if you dont want to spend the money for the AZ and you have a decent PC/Laptop then you can get a compatible DVB-S2 PCI/USB card and with the proper codecs you will see all what the AZBOX HD does

RT may be getting ready to deploy HD?

How this is possible?
