Hello i just bought a Fortech lifetime ultra receiver and a 33" ku band dish. My problem seam's to be finding the right satellite i'm not sure which one i'm looking for or which direction it should be pointing. My addressee is Dandridge, TN. zip 37725 Any help will be appreciated.

I just bought my first lifetime ultra receiver so far i haven't been able to get anything on it. The only thing i have installed in it is the software that came with it. Do i need to install any update's or anything else? All i want to get is the FTA channel's. What setting's should i have the receiver set on i don't even know if i have them right or not. As a matter of fact you could write a big book on what i don't know about this thing.

It comes with everyting you need for FTA. Get to blind scanning .

The hard (and fun) part is getting lined up on each satellite you are try'n to see. I'm not sure what you are looking for but there is a LOT of foreign language stuff on IA5. G10R is a popular FTA sat too. If you're looking for sports / new feeds You'll want to look at IA6, IA8, & Galaxy 11 too.

There is plenty up there - it depends what you are looking for. Lyngsat.com is a great place to see what's up there.

Sorry if I am misjudging, but what software would you have to install?! Lifetime ultra comes preloaded with the latest factory version of software. I have never heard of it coming with any software for you to install?!
