Wow, there are some really nice titles in that list. Several I'd absolutely love to see in HD...Sinbad, Kong, Resident Evil (still dig that one, too bad the sequel was a steamer), T2, etc.

One addition/suggestion: I'd love to catch the beginning of "Onibaba", which could run on Monsters or GuyTV (via the KungFuHD tie-in). I saw the last half during the final days of "Voom" and really dug it...samarai serial killer women with a David Lynch black-and-white photographic style, way interesting.

Also would be cool to see some other Romero titles, like "The Crazies" and "Martin" in HD...watching the doc on him over the weekend and seeing "Land of the Dead" (good, but not as good as Dawn or Night) made me respect him even more.

It's good to hear that VOOM keeps increasing the movie library. But WTF it's going on with the non-movie channels (Rave, Rush, Equator, ...). I'm sick of watching the same content over-and-over. When will they get new content??? Do you hear me VOOM???

I just saw a couple of new Earth Diaries episodes to premiere in the middle of July. Hope for more after the middle of July. Nothing before then and relative very few movies...

Evil Resident should rock! I just bought the DVD of the sequel, it has some major butt-thumping LFE.

I hardly watch TV during the summer but the few times I've tuned in Equator, it has looked a ton better, is this the norm now or did I just happen to catch a well transfered show?

I'd love to see The Creeping Flesh in HD! It's not even available on DVD, and I've wanted it for some time. Peter Cushing stars in it, and it has a really nasty, creepy monster in it that sort of reminds me of the Alien/human hybrid (Ripley's offspring) from the finale of Alien Resurrection. Anyway, it's worth watching. Here's hoping...

Damn. Can't believe I missed it. The three-day guide/search just doesn't work well for me. I did a search a while back for it but it didn't come up--though E*'s Voom 21 listings were a little 'whacky' for a while, so...

Oh well, good thing I put 'Onibaba' into my NetFlix queue--just came in the mail.

I am with you... It smells like James is getting his hand on VOOM and therefore dragging it to the very bottom. Quite frankly these channels are not as good as they used to be anymore. After looking at the listings for the next couple weeks on zap2it, they're finally mixing up the content on MonstersHD. They'll be showing reruns of course, but at least it's movies we haven't seen in a while like Inseminoid, various old Monsterama episodes, etc. I just can't handle seeing any Evil Dead, Texas Chainsaw, Freddy, Dawn of the Dead movies anymore even if they are classics. I'd rather see something I haven't seen in a while, even if it's super low budget!

Can't he make anything successful just for the pride of it rather than for strictly making a huge profit, or is Jams so short-sided that he doesn't seem like he can mak Voom a huge success if he invests. I wonder why Charles gave him the reigns of Voom?

Anyway, if rumors have it right and D* adds the channels by September that they say they will Inhd1 & 2, Fox movie cinemaplex and the premiums, I will get their HD pack, wait until my one year is up with E* and just dump *.

Since Charlie is a part owner of E* maybe he can put some pressure to add new content. I am sorry, but just 2 new movies a month for Monsters does just not cut it. Why doesn't James care? If he doesn't, why doesn't he just leave the job to his younger brother; why get back involved with Voom or does he want to shut it ALL down. He is half-way there...almost 75% there.

What's going on with VOOM HD Originals?

Unfortunately, it appears that E* is not mass marketing the VOOM HD Pak until they are moved off of 61.5 and additional channels/content added - VOOM isn't adding new content until they reach programming agreements with cable/sat providers and the FCC approves IB 05-72 - cable/sat providers don't have the bandwidth to support more than a handful of VOOM HD Originals at present. It's the VOOM Conundrum. It would appear that James is waiting for one or more of these things to occur before investing $$$ in VOOM programming: (a stupid move IMO)

1. DirecTV: Satellites, MPEG-4 and programming agreements.
2. Verizon FTTP and programming agreements.
3. FCC approves IB 05-72 and VOOM channels are moved off of Rainbow-1 and over to 110/119 slots.
4. Programming agreements are reached with cable providers: Comcast, Cox, etc.

Of course, who and hell wants the VOOM HD Originals when they do become widely available after months of looping and lackluster content? How can Rainbow Media be so successful at marketing AMC/WE/IFC while appearing to be stuck in the mud with their VOOM21 lineup?

IF VOOM leadership had ounce of common sense, they would be bombarding these channels with stellar new content and offering free boxing PPV like they have in the past. Does anyone have an idea how many people subscribe to the VOOM HD Pak...10K?...25K?...50K?...or more?

My Family is really enjoying HDnet. In fact we watch more HDnet than any other channel. We accidentally got addicted to Smallville, Odessy 5, Boomtown, Jake 2.0 etc..

I am tired of waiting for VOOM to get their act together. I probably should not have invested $250 in the 942. I like it a lot (although I like Tivo a lot more). I hope D* comes through with Inhd1 & 2. I have them for NFL ticket now (I paid for HD and Superfan when the price went down). I paid $199.00 for both because I am on a pre-paid plan. Anyway, I had Inhd1 & 2 for a short time right after Voom and before E* picked up Voom. I looks like it will be back to D* if they get Inhd1 &2. They are "supposed" to get Cinemax which will be great and Straz. That with their currentl HD line-up and hopefully the addition of TNT would be enough for me. The FOX movie-plex will be a nice bonus.

I will really miss MonstersHD, GuyTV (the mix of all channels) but I am just tired of waiting for Voom. Now with James at the helm, well....enough said. D* can steal the market from E*. Voom was a good chance to prevent that but we all know what James is capable of.
