Stand by screen

My Hopper 3 will just randomly go to the stand by screen. My timer is set for 4 hours. I was sitting in my living room and not even 10 minutes ago my wife turn on the tv and it just went back to the stand by screen again. Any ideas what I could try?

I'd set the timer for Off. I know it's not recommended but I've had mine that way for years and years and then a few more.
