Our ISP has had some issues today, and upon what we hope is their resolution, we believe the interruptions to our streaming service are through. We apologize and are monitoring the connections for any issues. Thanks for your patience if tuning-in on the web. Given the overall stability since beginning 'net broadcasting in February, this is not a huge issue, and we hope all is resolved.

Interruptions on Friday to our stream were reported, our ISP notified, and a new modem is being installed on Saturday (4-20)We apologize in advance for interruptions, but the long term result is more stability to the WION AM stereo streaming service! (Amazing we're getting a free new modem, this one is only a year or so old, but they tell us its time to upgrade.) We hope the interruption to be minimal in time.

Thanks for your patience and thanks for listening.

NEW MODEM, NEW HEAVY DUTY ROUTER...and, we should expect stable service going forward!

Update Sunday night 4/21: Still having "issues" but.....we're stable for now. Interruptions in ISP (probably flood-related, there's a message when we call of "outages in your area) and we're still having compatibility issues with router and the "new" modem. Again, we apologize. It's the "forced update" syndrome. THEY say upgrade. (ISP).

Hang in there!

Thursday, April 24th, 2013....We're still in the "battle of the new modem vs. router" here, and....and....some service issues still due to the flood in the County.
We apologize for any and all interruptions. "Technicians are working on it..."

Looking into backup DSL so we have both options, but....(insert cash register here) they charge big bucks to US for the same service homes get "on special."
Would be nice to have this as the MAIN backbone for our UPstream and as a backup for cable interruptions! Why does corporate America rake small business over
the coals??? Same service class across the street is MUCH cheaper. It's a residence.

We're going to install (yet another) new router for stability improvement this Friday evening. Apologies for any stream interruptions, we'll make them as quick as possible.
Nobody hates this more than we do! Our local Charter guy is GREAT, but I wish the company above him had not mandated a new modem. There's tons of articles on the web regarding incompatibility of this newer box to some equipment in how it "talks." We hope to put this to bed ASAP. Probably late Friday evening for the swap.

We'll be doing scheduled work on our day/night switching system in the next few days which may interrupt our stream occasionally. We'll try to make it as short as possible.
Apologies in advance for any inconvenience, please know this is necessary to make sure that you have a steady AM stereo signal day and night. Will post when work is complete.

Maintenance is now complete on the AM and the stream is restored to full sound. Thanks for your patience, folks!
Seems that critters like nesting higher when flood waters invade. Full list routine work done in one afternoon. See y'all on the stream and on AM Stereo 1430!

We had to work near our North Tower. Pulled the plug on the xmitter for a few minutes. Back in just a couple more on the "stream."
thanks...

"the management" (or lack, thereof.)

The funny thing about the signal being down. (And it just came back up) is the current song playing was still updating... so I sat here singing On The Road again by myself. :D :D

And a fine voice you have!
We promise no more interruptions, we stole the parts from the old tower house to transfer to WGLM-AM, and next is the open heart surgery on a tower in Greenville. Well, actually a tower "house"....

enjoy the afternoon.

BTW....was it good "stereo" hiss?

Could have switched to FM to feed, but didn't want listeners to hear an inferior sound....hehehe

CHARTER BUSINESS UPLOAD is not reliable this morning and affecting our outgoing feed to our carrier. Please be patient. We're working on it!

Ticket is "in" to charter. Limited connectivity. You may or may not get our stream until they arrive, upload issues exist, ping issues exist, download issues
exist...."Charter is having issues" but, their tech guy was GREAT and our local technician is also in the "great" category and knows how to help!

Thanks for your patience!

We have a NEW MODEM (again.) Different model. Stream is UP, reliable, and back to normal! Thanks to a very polite and helpful business repair tech,
and he's hooked on our station! He even downloaded our app into his smartphone while he was here!
WION thanks Charter Business in West Michigan!

We'll be interrupting our stream(s) for a brief moment or two in the next hour to put the streaming box and studio on a new larger UPS. Sorry for the interruption...it will be brief.

Done! New APC protecting and powering studio "C" which sends out the BEAUTIFUL AM STEREO stream (which hoity-toity bigshots of radio don't believe is AM stereo because it sounds better than their expensively processed streams.)

Thanks for hanging in there with us!

WION'S STREAM is up and running after intermittent issues with the provider's data regarding our IP address.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please enjoy the BEST SOUNDING STREAM on the web...direct from our AM STEREO studios!
