Hey guys, new on the forum but not new to sats. I do feel like a rookie in asking this, but it's been a while, so here goes. What order is the LNBs on the original SD? I installed some of the 1st ones for Dish when they came out, but I guess old age has caught up. From the dish looking skyward, I think they are 110, 105, 119. The problem is, I trashed all of my installation manuals and just can't remeber which is which. Any help PLEASE so I can finish my witch doctoring on this thing. Also if anyone can send me a pdf manual or such it'll be apreciated as I am putting an array together. Don't ask why, you'd laugh.

Depends on which SuperDish you are referring to. The one with 105 would be in order (105; 110; 119), the 129 SuperDish would be: 110; 119; 129. There is no way to get sats in the order you posted.

OK garys, figured I had it screwed as well as scued. LOL So the two twin lnb's are 105 and 110? Well that will explain a lot. This dish is on my 1st install and it is the early 105 unit (metal dish instead of plastic). All of our locals had a 105 channel, now I understand they are on 119. For some reason I figured the two twin lnb's were 119 & 110. Should thought it through. Thanks again.

I'd still like a copy of the installers manual if anybody has one.

No, the two duals are 110 and 119, if you have a twin it is for both 110 and 119 together. 105 is a different type of lnb and does not look like the others. If you have a twin and a dual or three identical duals, then you would have the 121 SuperDish. (I erred in my previous post as the SuperDish would be for 105 or 121, not 129 as stated. Dish 1000, 1000.2 and 1000+ cover 110; 119 and 129 with Dish 1000.4 covers 61.5; 72 and 77.

On the SD105, the 105 & 110 lnbs are combined into one housing. The 119 lnb is attached separate. You can see the SD105 lnb in this post from the Mad Scientist thread. The 105/110 lnb is on the right in the picture.

No, it has the two separate lnb's with the housing covering both. The housing can be removed and the lnb's can be switched out. It may look like one part, but it is not.

That's what makes wonder why dish has always required us to change out the whole dish when Superdishes go bad from LNB Drift (which is pretty much any superdish out there now) Why not just have us replace the duals, cut the 105 and go on our way? Was there a problem with the gain being to high for a standard dual that caused the drift problem in the first place? Or is dish just too paranoid about having techs remove the plastic housing from a dual to get it to fit in the 110 slot? Just always been curious about that.
