I'm in Boise with a Dish500 getting 110/119. I was going to get locals with a second dish tweaked to 121, but the CSR said I'd need a Superdish. Isn't a properly tweaked 2 dish system the equilivalent of a Superdish?

At the time I just accepted the CSR's advice, but as I learn more, I've come to realize that the Dish braintrust has wild variations in it's CSR knowledge base, interspersed with dashes of wild speculation at times.

You can't use a regular DBS dish to get 121 or 105. The dishes are too small to focus on the more closely spaced FSS satellites and have the wrong type of LNB. Either get the SuperDISH or add a larger second dish. See http://ekb.dbstalk.com/22 or search here for "poor man's superdish".
