I only use cellphones, because VOIP has too many problems. A real landline costs too much and all you get are unwanted calls

I use both. Where I live in the country it is hilly and lots of dense foliage. Mobile phones work only sporadicly in my house or outside. A landline is a must. I would rather talk on a landline given a choice anyway, sound quality is better to me.

I have both but only need the land line because I have a defib/pacemaker and it utilizes a land line for remote monitoring, been looking into an alternative wireless method, but the cost is greater than the cost of the land line
