Tennessee Lawmakers Hit Martin On A La Carte

Federal Communications Commission chairman Kevin Martin’s plan to impose wholesale a la carte mandates on the cable industry continues to bleed Republican support as key lawmakers from Tennessee recently voiced strong objections.

It's interesting that three representatives have come out against this plan and taken the route of showing concern for channels that dont have a significant viewer base and could loose out in the long run and die off. In essence what they are wanting is for people to have to pay for something they dont want so those that do can have it, typical " we know whats best for you so let us do the thinking and while we're doing that hand us your wallet".
