the audio problem

i was flipping through channels and i lost audio like usual. when i looked at the audio reciever it was acting like the stb was off. then when i switched back and got the audio back it went back to dolby.

so does the stb's audio out jack actually turns off?

I get this once in awhile, I just tune up then down and the audio kicks on again.
