Thinking about C Band

I'm thinking about getting a 6' Cband bud. What kind of mover do you use on a dish of that size? Thanks

I use a 24" actuator! 18" should work on a 6' C-Band dish!

You should be able to find a 6' with polar mount, 8.5 would be best my buddy just put up a 8' with polar mount, seems to work on the stuff he is looking at.

Yes you can. I have a 6' Fortec dish from Sadoun just for the nets

It might be worth studying an EIRP map for Galaxy 4R-C band.
Signals are stronger in the middle of the country than on the West Coast,
so a six footer may be very marginal at best on the Caribbean mux.
Bigger is better.

I know MIkeI can get G4 decent with his 6 footer (and he's in Orange County I think)

Yeah, I get the network feeds on G4 and other important feeds. I just can't get the Casper NBC feed. 6 ft dish pulls in the equity channels on G3 too. Yes, that's in Orange County - Laguna Niguel. The satellite I have trouble is IA 7.
