Just a few notes on the update. It seems a cold reboot might be in order after the update. Since doing that, this firmware does overall, seem more stable. The RF OTA scanning is a nice Voom addtion, well done! I already had all my locals but I know many people did not.

The audio variation from channel to channel is better. Commercials pop up louder as always. PQ overall is better. Nice.

I did get the STB to lockup when I changed channels "too" fast.

I know not everyone has the update but I'd like to hear what problems have been cured. So far I'll give Voom an A.

I think I read somewhere on a network channel that suffers from really bad loudness on commercial that this comes from the people who make the commercials. They purposely put the levels high so that when you walk away from the TV you still hear their stupid pitch.

The networks don't change they compression just feed it to Voom who rebroadcasts it to us. It's not the network's fault or Voom's fault. I just learned to turn down the volume when commercials come on. That's why Voom exclusives and HBO, etc. don't have this problem. When I think audio problems is when you switch from like HBO and it's fine, then to Starz and it's really low. Although that doesn't happen often.

Boxing Channel 711 is up!
