TiVo Reaches Deal to Make a Customized Version for Comcast Cable Subscribers

NEW YORK (AP) -- TiVo Inc., the struggling pioneer of digital video recorders, will make a customized version for Comcast cable subscribers, the two companies announced Tuesday. TiVo's share price soared.

i heard about this a while back. you can put in a cable card. they should be making a generic one soon to work with any cable company.

It's pretty likely the Comcast TiVo will not be the cablecard version, but will be based on the Motorola 6412 or similar (newer) model.
