I have subscribed to Bev and have a basic package. We winter in South AZ with our dish and receiver but find some channels that we do not get when we are here. It seems there are 8 transponders we do not get a signal from (3, 7, 9, 11, 17, 21, 23, 25.)
There are multiple channels on each transponder so we are missing quite a few channels.
Where can I get a list of what channel is on which transponder?
I don't want to subscribe to the center ice package and find that most of the games are on transponders we don't receive!!
I spoke to 2 bell store employees, One told me I could not take the receiver out of the country, and the other didn't have a clue about what I was asking for!!
All help or comments appreciated.

huh. Interesting

I'm in MN so I can get all of them. I'll have to see if those are stronger (N3 ones were stronger in MN than N1)

bell does not let you use it services in the USA, unlike *C.
Be careful, if they find out, they will disconnect you.

Transponder coverage!

I swung over to 91 and checked a few transponder signal strengths and they are pegging the meter down here in the south.

The term "pegging the meter" I take it means a strong signal??
I am also getting strong signals on all transponders EXCEPT 3, 7, 9, 11, 17, 21, 23, 25. On these, I get "0" ( on sat 91)

I am assuming that the footprint for these transponders do not reach below say, Northern California.

Does anyone know if a dual LNB with a switch, using a single receiver would get those transponders? Someone wrote that they may be on Sat 85. How can I find out?

Wow....I'm pegging the meter on 4 and 8 and 18.

However, that still doesnt change the fact that I have no signal on the same transponders that a person in California 2,000 miles away has no signal on either.

if they indeed moved D4 (or whatever they call it now) to 91 to co-locate with Nimiq1 you have to remember the footprint will change.

This is the same reason why Echo 4 at 77 degrees I cannot see in MN. The footprint was moved south to cover Mexico and cut off the norther 1/2 of the US

He's a run down from the Gulf Coast area... or as some know it as the Katrina area. ;)

These readings are from a Fortecstar Ultra with a scale of 0-100% on the signal quality. The signal isn't watchable due to the scrambling but I can see the signal with no problems.
