Since one of my best friends is a travel agent I probably should not be looking foira good travel site but I am.

I have noticed that ubid now has travel auctions. Of course I know about Pricewatch, travelocity and hotels.com as well.

But I was wondering what sites others use and what they look for in a good travel site.

I like to use this site:

http://www.betterbidding.com/

as a companion to both priceline.com and hotwire.com.

It has state by state forums that list best deals available for both. It really helps with priceline.com as it will tell you what bid has already been accepted for a particular city and star level. Also, it can be REALLY handy sometimes when it lets you know what hotel a particular hotwire/priceline deal might be.
