Trouble with my new installation Dish 33 inch + SG2100

Hi,

I have installed my Fortec Star 80 centimeters Dish with a SG2100 motor.

My Latitude is 45.5 N and my Longitude is 73.8 W (Montreal, Canada)

I have set the Elevation angle of the motor to 45 degree and figured out in the SG2100 user manual that the Declinaison Angle of the dish to be 23.2 degree.

Then I have ensured that the motor is set to 0 degree and tried to align the dish to my True South (Magnetic South +16 Degree).

Then I have set my Longitude and my Latitude in My Digiwave Diamond through the Motor settings and specified USALS.

Then I have asked the IRD to point to AMC 6 (71.8W) so around 177.2 in my Azimuth.

I was able to just have a signal between 53 % to 67 % and a rough Quality of less than 10%.

Would it be easier to find a Satellite such Estrela do Sul1 at 61.5W that correspond to 180?

Does My LNB is damaged?

Note I have tried to ensure that my Mast is perfectly vertical.

Make sure the LNBF is straight up and down for your true south satellite and set it as far back from the dish/reflector as it can go in the holder.

Your motor angles are good. And very rarely do you get a bad LNBF, it happens but not a lot. If all else fails remove the motor and see what quality you get with a fixed dish. If anything a motorized dish should give you better quality than a fixed dish as the whole dish skews as it follows the arc.
 
Sounds like to me that possibly you need to recheck your LNB LO settings and that you afre serching for a live transponder and symbol rate.

vLooks like a Universial LNB

I do not have one but I think you have provided enough infor for some others on here to set you up with the right info.

I would guess on your receiver you want to choose Universial for LNB Type, 10600 and 9500 for you LNB Freq.

Watch out about the elevation angle on the Fortec dish. The scale on the dish isn't all that accurate. I think mine was somewhere around 6 to 8 degrees off. You might try peaking your dish like you did before and got 10% quality, and then try making small adjustments on the elevation of the dish.
