True south Satellite

[Eastcoast]

Hi Guys
Can you tell me what is the closest satellite to my true south that I could get a signal from as I tried setting up the dish and motor and can get satellites fro 87 w to 121 w using the DBS ones for reference only but can't find any east of 87w.I figure the motor is not tracking the Clarke belt correctly.

Thanks and that is quite a list, is Intelesat 707 at 53 deg the one that will give me a signal or is there another as I the footprints I've seen don't include my location.

oh boy...the closes thing to a KU band satellite near you is Amazonas at 61. I'd set up USALS on the receiver and move the motor to 61.0 (put your latitude/longitude in the receiver and then have it move to that satellite) then aim for 61.0

I have played with this a bit well beat a path to the dish and can't seem to find anything east of 87 using USALS but but FTA sat as well as DBS come in good west of 87. Is Amazonas a standard LNBF?

Yes, Amazonas is a Standard KU LNBF!

I get AMC3 and Telstar 5/6 good quality.
The motor won't go to G10R as it says its out of range but I think down the road I will try with another dish.For now I would like to find out what I have wrong.

G10 is going to be tough with a 5 degree elevation

Well I picked up Nasa TV on 119 and the quality was 70 or so as I was using that sat for reference only I subscribe to BEV and am only interested in FTA as you, then I would like to hunt the atlantic and east to see whats there but so far I have no signals from that way and I guess I need a universal LNBF?Also I have had a HP spectrum analyzer on a HF splitter to the receiver looking for signals.
