With a Legacy UHF remote upgrade cone kit from Dish Network what can one do? Customer has a 301 receiver and this UHF upgrade kit with the Legacy UHF remote. Can she change channels at an extended range beyond 100 feet by putting a diplexor with a UHF antenna on it on one end of the coax wire where the 301 is at and another diplexor with another UHF antenna on it where the channels are wanted to changed at? How far of a range would this work doing it this way if it will work?

No! with one minor exception. The one exception is when the setup serves as a passive repeater, but for that to happen the remote needs to be near the extended remote antenna ( a few inches).

In general, repeaters do not receive and transmit on the same frequency which is what is required for the Dish receivers and remotes. The cell phone repeaters do transmit and receive on the same frequency, but there is a lot of electronics and a lot of isolation of antennas.

You could however use an IR remote and I believe the legacy receivers used both IR and UHF (but I may be mistaken on the latter point). IR remotes have an IR sensor in one room (where you want to use the remote outside of the immediate range of the dish receiver) and another IR emitting diode that must be located near the front side of the dish receiver.
