My 722k receiver is not next to the TV. I have an extra UHF remote. Can I program it to control sat TV1 via UHF so that I do not have to point in two directions to control TV and Sat?

What's the remote model? It can be found on the back at the top. Chances are it can be programmed as UHF
All of our dual tuner receivers support UHF at TV1 (enabling steps vary by receiver)
Solo receivers such as the 211 would need the kit
Take the battery cover off of the remote, and make sure the "1" key is facing out (if it's the "2", the key can be pulled out, and flipped around).
Also make sure the switch next to the batteries is set to the "UHF" side.
Once you have done this, take the remote to the receiver
Press system info on the front of the receiver
Press record on the remote 3 times.
The remote should now be programmed to the dish receiver as UHF for TV1.
