my uncle gave me his 8ft mesh today with a uniden Sq530 receiver . does anyone know if the uniden Sq530 receiver is any good ? does anyone have the manuel on one maybe a remote handy?

I had an SQ560 and loved it. It finally bit the dust last year. I believe the difference in the 530 is that it didn't do stereo analog (non-VCRS)

I believe the SQ530 will do stereo sound on the VCRS channels, but NOT on the regular channels (feeds)
It will do mono, but not stereo on the feeds.
You can check by tuning to an ITC analog (NON VCRS) channel (Like G1-11)
Press "audio" to set audio freq. Does it say "Left" and "Right" or just have one freq setting?

hmm the receiver has no cband or ku cable hookup hmmm? where do i plug in the but it has quick connects. how do you hook that up? is there a missing box?
