Your guess is as good as mine as we all know this channel is used for HD previews. As of this report channel 287 was running around 12mbps, and we also all know E* SD doesn't run at 12mbps.

For E* to put AMC into that slot it only makes sense that its a new HD channel. AMCHD? I hope its true. We need more HD channels.

I do believe AMC-HD was SUPPOSED to launch on Voom before it folded. Can any of the old voomers confirm or deny this?

Either way this is good news. If it's a new HD channel that would be awesome. If it's the SD AMC then maybe they'll (re)up the resoluiton and bitrate on the HDNet channels.

IF "AMC-HD" is coming from C-band to providers, not yet. If it's fiber, who knows if it's operational or not since I don't have a fiber hookup to RNC.
