Bob are you sure the chicago MP4 locals are working? you didn't get your 622 yet right?

the locals added to 129 are Salt Lake and Atlanta for those wondering.

The 6324 channels are Albuquerque being renamed from test

No i don't have a subbed mpg4 receiver as dish is Fu*&ing me around on my 622.... but according to the system data tables they are a go and available to all subbed mpg4 receivers.. :)

Does anyone know what satellite the Detroit HD locals will be on? I have a 61.5 dish and legacy switches. Am I set?

Looks like Atlanta HD locals are going to be on 129.

If that is the case, due to the elevation, I and numerous others will have a difficult time receiving it. 61.5 would have been a much better choice.

Trafter; won't know until they uplink them. Probally 129 - then a dish 1000 gets everything. I hope they uplink soon - I've been debating the D* vs E* thing since Detroit was the very first MPEG4 between both companies.

Finally, it looks like Dish has added the Atlanta HD locals, but as previously noted they are on 129. I didn't expect that at all, since there are some Atlanta stations already on 61.5. Now a D1000 is required, along with a dish for 61.5. Hope my installer is bringing a D1000 with them Tuesday.

Unless Dish is planning on moving things around, this sounds like an odd move for them (ie: extra work to install D1000's when most of us already have a dish pointing to 61.5). Could this just be a test phase, and they will move the channels to 61.5 when they are released to subs?

Well, now that E10 is up, maybe Atlanta HD will move to 110 after their test phase. Isn't HD LIL the whole purpose of E10?

True, but that would make Dish's move even more odd. Why put Atlanta HD locals on 129 (of which not many Atlanta subs would have the new D1000) when there is space for a temporary stay at 61.5 (of which many Atlanta subs do have). It would seem better to put the new channels at 61.5 for the 6 months or so, and then move them to E10. No new dish installations required for existing HD accounts.

I'm sure there is something going on that I have no clue about, though. I'll just be getting a new dish. My D500 is faded now and probably needs to be repeaked anyway. I will feel like I'm getting my $$$ worth after plunking $299 down on a leased receiver!
