Hello All,
I am a loyal and dedicated D* customer but I just ran across some information on FIOS and if this thing is really going to happen I don't know why I would stay with D*. There are a few things that I like, the fact that my internet connection will be less expensive and faster than the current Optimum Online deal. The fact that HD will be real HD. True VOD.
I see nothing but upside and I don't know how they would have any competition. Here are my questions.
I am on Long Island, are there any current FIOS subscribers in Holbrook, NY or near that I can confirm this is happening?
Are there any members receiving FIOS TV on Long Island?
How many channels of true HD will they have or will they be capable?
The reason I'd like these questions answered is that I don't want to go to the new D* HD DVR with a 2 year commitment if FIOS is right around the corner. Any help would be appreciated.
Peace
