What is the difference between DVB and Digicipher2 video?
Does a Sat receiver translate both for use?

different methods of encoding the video, they are not interchangable, I dont know of any ird that can tune both, other then genpix, but thats not really an ird, more of a usb-tuner adapter thingy.

most FTA boxes will tune DVB only. Digicipher II (DCII) is what 4DTV boxes use (the digital version of the old analog C-Band recievers)

There are commercial receivers which will tune both DC2 and DVB signals such as Motorola DSR-4800 and Digitrans DTE-7150.
