Isit true that the vip622 and 625 units only need one coax feed from the dish? for both tuners to function? Also you can back track the TV2 out through your old cable runs from cable tv correct (i assume you have change the splitter around to make a closed loop?)

thank you

Yes, dual tuners receivers will only need a single cable run with a DPP Twin. The old cable runs can be used for the TV2 output. If it's a long run, it's better if the cable is RG6.

thank you -- what is a DPP Twin? if it helps any I'l be having two "dishes" one 500 and one 300.

The Dish Pro Plus Twin LNB will be on your D500 to receive sats. 110 and 119. The D300 will have (probably) a Dish Pro Twin LNB and be pointed to either 61.5 or 129 depending on your location. The NE of the US and parts of Fla can't "see" 129. The choice is often based on which sat. carries your HD locals (if you have any). The DP Twin will have a single cable to the input on the DPP Twin and that LNB will have a single cable running to each receiver where a "separator" will feed the signals to both tuner inputs. The switching is done in the DPP Twin.

Here's a link to some additional information on those LNBs:
