Sigh.........I wish Florida's was that little. Ours is 13%. These add on taxes are nothing but a rip off and a sop to the cable industry.

Just a note most landline phone service will become slightly cheaper. This tax is supposed to be "revenue neutral. " I am not saying that I believe that just that it was justified as simply spreading the existing tax burden differently.

Another note...this also applies to your VOIP phone service. So if you're paying monthly bill to Vonage, etc., then you'll be paying a little extra come January. However, if you pay for annual service (like I do) then won't be subject to this "communications tax" until your next invoice.
