Vogel’s revolutionary new Mighty Brighty Projection Screen Paint
November 8, 2006 – Vogel’s, the European market leader in the field of supports for audio/video equipment, has introduced a revolutionary new product for the consumer market: projection screen paint Mighty Brighty. This CES 2007 honoree is a new and unique Vogel’s concept for creating the perfect projection screen for living rooms, home cinemas, café’s, offices and classrooms. Pick up a paintbrush, paint Mighty Brighty on a smooth wall and enjoy the excellent picture quality!
Projection screens are usually expensive, sometimes costing even more than the projector itself. As a result, people often have the tendency to use a white living room wall as a projection screen. This, however, does not enhance the picture quality. With Mighty Brighty, Vogel’s is offering the ultimate solution. An image projected on Mighty Brighty projection screen paint has much better contrast and brightness than one projected on an ordinary white wall. Better yet, with Mighty Brighty projection screen paint you get the high quality of a professional projection screen. Furthermore it is possible to create the right screen size for each specific situation.
Using the special paint, screens can be painted on the wall in whatever dimension required (4:3, 16:9, etc). As they get older, projection screens often lose their original shape. The projection surface created with Mighty Brighty is always flat and straight, has the right dimensions for the type of projector used, and is tuned to suit the amount of light in the room. In addition, there is no need to reserve a space for storing the screen. And best of all, the screen is invisible when you are not using the projector (when MPW 30, invisible wall solution, is used).
To satisfy the different needs and requirements of its customers, Vogel’s offers three different packages:
MPW 10 – Standard Screen
The MPW 10 is the standard Mighty Brighty package. The paint is pre-mixed and easy to apply to the wall. The package contains a liter of BaseCoat and a liter of TopCoat, enough paint to create a screen with a surface area of around five square meters.
MPW 20 – Made-to-measure Screen and Frame
The second package contains everything you need to create a made-to-measure projection screen with a surface area of six square meters, including a black magnetic frame to increase the contrast of the picture. In addition to the standard paint, the package contains the paint components ContrastBooster and BrightnessBooster, so that the ideal screen can be created for every situation. The package also contains magnetic paint for the easy placement and removal of the magnetic frame.
MPW 30 – Invisible Wall Solution
The MPW 30 package is virtually the same as the MPW 20 package. The only difference is that this package contains considerably more paint, so that a complete wall can be painted. An invisible wall solution: when the dark magnetic frame is removed after viewing, only the normal white or light grey wall remains visible. The wall is an excellent projection screen and yet it looks like an ordinary wall.
