Hello All I was wondering if anyone had any new info about the
purchase? I have not switched to VOOM yet and was wondering if I
should wait for the hand off. I am not a CableVision fan and would
rather wait BUT if this is going to take years I may do the switch.
Any info would be fab. Momust

Why do you want to wait? It's only $1 now. If anything changes do you
think you will get a better deal than that?

Hey, Momust, I agree with "thegrod". Why wait? You'll be dealing
with VOOM which does its installations separate from Cablevision.
They've had growing pains with the installations but the number of
complaints seems to have fallen dramatically over the past few months
if posts on the VOOM forums are an indication-I think they are. So,
go for it! $1! And enjoy all the HDTV right now.

Still watching HDTV under rainy (but rain fadeless) Seattle skies, Gill

[VOOM] Voom receiver- changes channel

I have been watchign the Superbowl today on Fox through Voom's receiver and my off-air antenna. I have had the game interupted several times as all of a sudden the receiver changes to a different channel.

I know a co-worker of mine that when this happened to him it locked on a certain channel andthe nhe could not change the channels without re-booting the box. I have not experienced that but I must admit it is frustration to have the box change channels right in the middle of a play.

Has anyone else experienced the Voom reciever changing channels on its own while watching a program?

Matt
